For this project we were asked to create and original product label and I chose to create a Beer label. I came up with Gingerbread head a white chocolate milk stout that embodies the grown up equivalent of milk and cookies in a bottle. With flavors of vanilla, cocoa, brown sugar, spices, and ginger. Below is how I started my process to creating the label art.
The Sketches
I knew I wanted to have a gingerbread man be the main attraction of the label I just wasn’t sure how I wanted him depicted just yet.
The digital rough in Black and White
I decided on sketch number 2 I thought it was fun and visually represented the beer in an eye catching way. I know I would personally pick this beer off a shelf to read the label further. However, the digital rough was very flat. So check my next post to see the completed label design.
