TBC Logo Beginning

In the beginning stages of finalizing my logo, I took my favorite two sketches and combined them. While altering the angle of the sun from my original. Once I was happy with the look of it I uploaded the sketch into illustrator and traced it with the pen tool. I then spent time deciding what shade of yellow, blue and green I wanted to use. I knew I wanted to keep it simple. However, I struggled with line weight and text placement.

Think Big Conference Sketch Iterations

For the second round of sketches I created 40 iterations of the best-chosen thumbnails from round one. I created these with micro pens to create more contrast and visibility for the presentation. I wanted to keep the design simple and readable.

I used a variation of windmills, power plugs, suns, and panels while trying to execute the best logo for the Think Big Solar Conference. I decided to create a variety of ideas revolving around circle layout to keep simplicity within the design.

Think Big Thumbnails

The beginning process of my take on the Think Big Conference in 40 thumbnails. Originally, I was undecided on the topic, so I sketched up ideas on three different topics. I was undecided between water pollution, solar energy, and hypnosis. I had the most concepts for solar energy and during class critique I received the most feedback on the solar energy thumbnails. So I decided to take them further.
